Codecita terms of service
Effective: October 1, 2026
Updated: October 28, 2026
1. What Codecita is
Codecita is a set of small online tools that help a group agree: Co-decisions finds the option that fits the group best, Co-priorities puts a list in the order the group prefers, Co-schedules finds a time that works for everyone, Co-groupings fills a group, with a waitlist once it’s full, and Co-polls lets a group vote and see the result live or once it closes. Gavry LLC operates Codecita. In these terms “we”, “us” and “Codecita” mean Gavry LLC, and “you” means anyone who uses the site. The organizer is the person who sets up a Co-decision, Co-priority, Co-schedule, Co-grouping or Co-poll; participants are the people they invite, or who join by a link they share.
2. Who can use Codecita
You must be 18 or older to create an account, organize, or pay. Participants don’t need an account: they take part through a link the organizer gives them. Codecita isn’t directed to children under 13. People you invite must be 13 or older; don’t invite anyone under 13.
3. Plans and payment
- Free: groups of up to 3 people; in Co-decisions, up to 3 options and 3 criteria; in Co-priorities, up to 5 items; a Co-grouping can be full at up to 3, with a waitlist of up to 100 on either plan. Going past any of these needs Pro, at US$10 a month or US$96 a year, which allows groups of up to 50 people, up to 20 options and 35 criteria, and up to 50 items. Free lets you start 10 new things a day, Pro 30.
- Your first month of Pro is free, monthly or yearly. It needs a card, and when it ends we charge US$10 for a month or US$96 for a year, as you chose, unless you cancel first. There is one free month per person and per card.
- Education plan. Students and staff of universities and colleges get Pro free while they sign in with an email address at their school that we recognize. Schools for children don’t qualify. The address must be your own. We check once a year that it still works; if it doesn’t, or if we stop recognizing the school, the account moves to the Free plan and keeps everything in it. We may change or end the Education plan at any time.
- Pro renews monthly or yearly, as you chose, until you cancel. We email you 30 days before each yearly renewal. You can cancel at any time from your account page; you keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for. You can switch between monthly and yearly from your account page. Switching to yearly starts it at once, with credit for the unused part of your month; switching to monthly takes effect at your next yearly renewal.
- Anything you set up while on Pro stays usable after Pro ends, with everyone and everything already in it. Adding past the free limits needs Pro again.
- Gavry LLC is the merchant of record, Stripe processes the payment, and “CODECITA” appears on your card statement.
- Our refund and cancellation policy is at codecita.com/refunds and forms part of these terms.
- We may change the price. If we do, we’ll tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
Buying for a team or organization
An organization can buy Codecita Pro places for its people, yearly, at the prices on our Pricing page. Places cover everyone who signs in with an email address at the organization’s domain, or the addresses the organization lists. The places are a limit: when they’re all in use, the next person keeps a Free account until places are added or freed. Places bought on the site renew each year until canceled. More places can be added at any time and are charged for the rest of the year; fewer take effect at the next renewal. The person who buys manages the team and can add others to manage it with them; we can also add or remove a manager when the organization asks. The people who manage the team are responsible for the bill and can see who holds a place. We email them 30 days before each renewal. If the organization cancels or stops paying, Pro ends at the end of the paid year, and everyone keeps a Free account with everything they made.
4. What participants share, and who sees it
Names are whatever the organizer or the person typed; “first name” means its first word.
- The organizer sees what each participant enters, and how far each has got (counts only): their available times, their ranking, or how much each criterion of a Co-decision matters to them; in a Co-grouping, whether they’re in the group or waiting and in what order, their contact line, and whether they came by the group’s link. A participant’s ratings of a Co-decision’s options are shown to nobody, the organizer included — only their effect on the scores, and how many each person has given.
- Other participants, in a Co-schedule: they can see your available times unless you untick “I’m ok with other invitees seeing my availability” above your calendar. Once everyone has answered, or the organizer closes it, everyone in the group also sees the times that work and, for each one, who could come only if needed and who can’t, by name — whether or not that box is ticked. If the organizer gave it a place, everyone in it also sees the place, with its forecast and its sunrise and sunset.
- Chat, in any tool: when chat is on (it starts on, except in Co-polls, and the organizer can turn it off), everyone in it sees its messages with each writer’s name (none in an anonymous Co-poll), whether or not they share anything else — in a Co-schedule, notes on days too. The organizer can hide any message or note; writers can delete their own. Messages and notes disappear after 24 hours, and can’t include phone numbers, email addresses or street addresses. In a Co-grouping, people on the waitlist read and write in it like members.
- Other participants, in a Co-priority: rankings stay private until the organizer finalizes; then everyone in the group sees the group order and each ranking, by first name.
- Other participants, in a Co-decision: weights and ratings stay private until the organizer finalizes; then everyone in the group sees the result and how much each person said each criterion matters, by first name. Nobody ever sees anyone else’s ratings. The must-pass rules, and the options they rule out, are seen only by the organizer; whoever suggested an option that was ruled out sees that it was set aside, never why.
- Other people, in a Co-grouping: anyone with its link sees its description, its size, and how many are in it and waiting — no names. People in the group see each other’s first names, and once it forms, full names and the contact lines people chose to share. People on the waitlist see their place in line, not the members’ names.
- Other people, in a Co-poll: everyone in it sees its entries (with any web link) or options and the vote or like counts — as they change, or once the organizer closes it, as the organizer chooses. Names show beside entries only when the organizer chose “By name”; votes are never shown with a name. The organizer can hide entries.
- A group’s shared link: anyone who opens it sees the first names of the people who were invited and haven’t joined yet, so they can pick their own. A Co-grouping’s shared link shows no names.
- A link’s preview: when a personal link, a group’s shared link or a Co-poll’s link is pasted into a chat app or an email, the preview shows the title, the organizer’s first name and the tool’s name — nothing about anyone else.
- An organizer’s “All my groups” page: anyone with its link sees the organizer’s first name and each open Co-grouping’s title, description and how full it is — no one else’s name.
- The organizer may mark how important each person is and who must attend. These marks are visible only to the organizer.
- When the organizer finalizes, we publish a result page that anyone with its link can open. It shows the result and participants’ first names (the organizer may choose full names), and, for a Co-schedule, who can come and the group calendar; for a Co-priority, how everyone ranked the list; for a Co-decision, the options still in with their scores, and who decided; for a Co-poll, the entries or options with their counts (names beside entries only if the organizer chose “By name”).
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you enter: titles, descriptions, items, options, criteria and their explanations, entries and links, names, times, contact lines, and chat messages and notes. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people described in section 4, only to run Codecita. Don’t enter anything you don’t have the right to share, anything unlawful, or anything meant to harass anyone.
6. Using Codecita properly
Don’t use Codecita to send unwanted messages, to collect people’s information without their knowledge, to impersonate anyone, or to interfere with the service. We may suspend or close an account that does.
7. Copyright
We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. The process, in plain words, is at codecita.com/copyright. We keep a record of the notices we receive about each account, and we close, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe.
8. Your account and our service
Keep your sign-in secure; you’re responsible for what is done through your account. We may change or discontinue features. We aim to keep Codecita available but don’t promise uninterrupted service.
9. Liability
Codecita is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gavry LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, and its total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Gavry LLC in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Weather forecasts (from Visual Crossing or the US National Weather Service) and sunrise and sunset times (worked out by Codecita) are shown for convenience and can be wrong, so don’t rely on them for safety.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we’ll tell you by email and in the service at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless a shorter period is required by law or to address a security or legal risk. If you don’t accept a change, you can cancel and stop using Codecita before it takes effect.
11. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA. Any dispute will be brought only in the state or federal courts in North Carolina, and both parties consent to that jurisdiction.
